More Walkman goodness. Sony Ericsson added a new phone to its flagship Walkman series with the Sony Ericsson W830 phone. Available in a slider design, the W830 takes in a Memory Stick PRO Duo loaded with all your songs.
The W830 comes with Walkman 2.0 music player, and TrackID that recognizes your music. The player is also skinnable, so you can download themes and personalize your player. Featuring a 2.0" 262k color screen, the phone supports MP3, AAC and eAAC+ formats. SE claims that the W830 is a specially adapted EDGE version of the W850 cell phone.
A nice 2 megapixel camera is available on the W830. The phone supports SMS/MMS/Email messaging. The phone comes with Macromedia Flash Lite as well. Bluetooth, FM radio and Access NetFront web browser round up the list of neat-to-have features. TrackID allows you to record a few seconds of a song and send it to Gracenote worldwide music database to identify it.
No word yet on pricing. The W830 will be made available in two versions: W830c for mainland China and W830i for other SE Asia markets. In the package, you will find a 1GB Memory Stick PRO Duo, but you can go up to 4GB.
